Review

Conquer Online is yet another MMORPG brought to you by the folks over at TQ Digital. They're responsible for making Crazy Tao, Eudemons and Zero Online. All three games play very similarly, and Conquer Online is no exception. Conquer Online's interface is almost identical to that of Eudemons and every other game TQ Digital has ever made, so if you've played any other game by this company, you'll feel right at home.

The game's character creation is very disappointing, as Players can only choose between five fantasy classes; Archer, Fire Taoist, Trojan, Warrior, and the newly added Ninja. Another disappointing element of Conquer Online is that each class has absolutely no customization whatsoever. Everyone you meet in game looks like clones of each other. The graphics and music is also aged, the game looks and feels like its 8 years old, which wouldn't be a bad thing if game play was fun, but it's not. Repetitive grinding and little sense of progression will be an instant turn off for most gamers.

If you somehow play through the grind, the game does get significantly more enjoyable end game, as the game allows open PvP, which can be fun. Conquer Online also has a unique skill system, in which skills and spells grow stronger as you use them. Unfortunately, this is the only sense of progression and advancement you'll get from the game, as leveling doesn't feel as if it does anything at all. Unless you're a die hard fan of TQ Digital, try another game.
